The La Jolla Newcomers Club organized a community party to celebrate horse racing’s Triple Crown, encouraging guests to attend wearing their best hat.

The event, held at the La Jolla Community Center on May 16, the evening before the 2025 Preakness Stakes in Baltimore, included a hat contest, live entertainment and food.

The Newcomers Club helps residents who have moved to the 92037 ZIP code within the past three years get acquainted with the community through social, recreational, educational and cultural activities. ♦
