Re “City’s new trash fee proposal gets harsh reception” (April 16): If we were given the ballot option to outsource the garbage pickup service if it could be done at a significantly lower cost, I would bet the house that it would be overwhelmingly approved. City Council, do the right thing for once and put it on the ballot to overturn the requirement of requiring our incompetent city management to do this. We don’t need to pay double the necessary cost for trash pickup to help reduce the deficit from city leaders’ numerous bad financial decisions.
