A 51-year-old man died in a single-car crash early Saturday after his vehicle hit a concrete barrier separating a road from homes in Poway, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident took place around 12:56 a.m. near Pomerado Road and Kaitz Street. The driver of the car, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the hospital.
The cause of the crash is unknown, and is being investigated by Poway Station Traffic Investigators and the Medical Examiner’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is asking witnesses to call (858) 565-5200.
