Our mission statement
Curebound is a philanthropic organization that raises and invests strategic funding into innovative cancer research with the power to save lives. At the core of our mission is a commitment to collaboration, bringing the brightest scientific minds together to accelerate better prevention, detection, and treatments for cancer. This work is fueled by one vision: cures in our lifetime.
Our 2025 goals
Curebound has invested $37M for innovative cancer research across 125 grants. Curebound announced funding for two new programs, Catalyst Grants, and Equity Grants, which focus on overcoming disparities in cancer research and treatment. In 2025, Curebound will continue the momentum of fundraising and investment to accelerate cancer research into cures.
The areas we serve
Curebound serves all of San Diego’s diverse communities with research focused in five areas:
- Prevention and diagnostic tools
- Novel approaches and new therapeutic platforms
- Immunotherapies and personalized vaccines
- Cancer equities
- Pediatric cancers
Fundraising events
Curebound signature events bring the San Diego community together in the fight against cancer. The highly anticipated Concert for Cures returns in Spring 2025, with the headlining artist to be announced soon. Building on 10 years of impact with Padres Pedal the Cause, Curebound is excited to launch the new Curebound Cancer Challenge, which will take place Aug. 2 at UC San Diego. For more information on both events, visit curebound.org.
